Great Apps For Meditation

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

Hello everyone,

I have been gone for a long time. I have been working on myself, and exploring my options in my life. But, I am so excited to say that I am back and ready to start posting again!

I hope you all are doing well, and taking care of yourselves. I have been dealing with anxiety for as long as I can remember. For me, it comes in waves. I recently had a very bad bout with it. It was something that flipped my world upside down, and made me do a lot of thinking. Reflecting on my ways of self-care and how I need to relax and calm down.

I decided to download a couple mediation apps from the iPhone store to help me out on my new path to mindfulness. These two apps have helped me the last few weeks, and I want to share them with you.

The first app I have been using every day and night is Insight Timer. This is an app that has meditation, music tracks, live events, breathwork and life courses. I have used the meditation tracks for the morning when I first wake, and at night when I am ready to go to sleep. They help me relax, and conquer the day and/or calm me for a good night’s sleep. I also listen to the sleep music tracks as I go to sleep. There are so many sounds to choose from and they all have different times, 30 mins, 60 mins, 100 mins, etc. There’s courses on stress & anxiety, personal development, self-love, and so much more. There are live events for yoga classes which I am planning on taking. I highly recommend this app for everyone, especially people that struggle with stress and anxiety. And best of all, it’s free!

The second app I downloaded is called Tapping Solution. This is an interesting app as it uses tapping sessions to deal with stress and anxiety. The tapping sessions have you tap different parts of your body to calm yourself down. It is what I used to help myself during a panic attack. The app also has daily inspiration, meditation sessions and sleeping improvement programs. The app is free to download, and some tracks and sessions are available for free, but there are many you will need to pay for to unlock.

Both of these apps are easy to navigate, and I hope they can help someone to relax and practice mindfulness. Meditation is a life-changing experience that has helped so many people to live a better and calmer life. And, I am excited to continue my own practice!
