Take Some Time For Yourself

This past year has been a rollercoaster for me, as I’m sure it has for many others as well. I lost my incredible Dad 11 months ago. Covid 19 has prevented me from living a normal life. We are in the midst of what seems like a Civil War in America and the death toll keeps going up. It seems there is no end to this unpredictable madness.

I wanted to write this post to assure you that you are not alone. Whatever you are feeling during these challenging times is completely valid. It is ok to cry, it is ok to talk to someone, and it is ok not to be ok. Now more than ever, I believe we need to be more understanding to one another and kinder to each other.

Take some time for yourself. Read that new book you are dying to read, watch all your favorite movies, cook a different recipe, sew a new piece of clothing, go for a run, whatever you want to do. I am thankful that during the hardest time of my life, I know that I can get through it because I have myself and my loved ones. At the end of the day, that is what really matters. Loving yourself, being comfortable with being alone, having someone to talk to, giving love and being given love back.

Life is not easy. And every single one of us has a different path, a different journey and a different story.
